I was there in 2005 and enjoyed a great breakfast and a very "true" atmosphere. Friendly and quick staff, great eggs.

"Every summer my little two year old girl, Jessica and I would often, visit the, Blue Door Cafe for a ice cream cone. Just, to watch, and see who could get a brain freeze first. The loser...would always have to sperge for supper at, Turtle Island Fish & Chips, later that, evening. But, she always won only, because she was two, and still jobless, as well...Your, staff has not just bin courteous, and kind but has always brought back many many memories, as well. Especially, when it even came down to opening a heavy door, for a wheelchair. Along side of friendly, fast, service, and fabulous eatin's, too!!" :)

Lovely spot with lots of coffee, tea and sweet treats. Sweetest little book store downstairs.

Fantastic nostalgic delicious old school

Stopped in here quick for a breakfast to-go. Ordered the breakfast burgers, and albeit a simple food, it was delicious. The bun was soft, and the bacon was crumbled (!!) so you didn't bite in a pull out an entire strip of bacon. I'd eat this over a chain restaurant sandwich any day.

Sit at the bar and watch the show! Great place and super efficient team😉

Went there sometime after breakfast hours, waited for a table. No problem. We sat down had a decent meal. Nice decor, friendly staff. Nothing too special, and a little cramped for our party of 6. But I enjoyed it for what place is; an establishment that's loved by the locals.

Food is basic at a good price, but the atmosphere is unique, working person type. Staff is great.

Have been going there for years. The last of the old fashioned diners for the working man. Good food and large portions. I will miss it.

Nice, small, classic diner/cafe. Food prepped by the same person that took our order. Food was very basic and plain but okay. Decor is cute and fun. Service was fine.

A very retro-feeling Cafe. By that I mean small-town diner feeling that hasn't been updated in years, but that adds to the charm of the place. The food is what you'd expect from a small diner of this sort. Nothing fantastic, but decently priced and tasty.

By far the worst breakfast experience I've ever had in Port Alberni.. Horrible quality food and even worse service, the waitress slammed our plates down as we got our food and mumbled some sort of guester as she walked away. I would highly suggest eating at Pescadero or Boomarages cafe before ever stepping foot in this establishment..

The breakfast in the blue door are huge and really good

Great staff. Food was basic breakfast but very comforting and exactly what we needed. The server was amazing with the kids and even wiped my toddlers face after. Would highly recommend!!
